Guided by the planet Venus, Sailor Venus is the last of the inner senshi to appear on the show. Previously she was featured in her own manga: "Code Name ha Sailor V." Sailor Venus first appeared on the show when Kunzite and Zoisite were fighting the senshi, and she helped them escape. As Minako, she is a very happy and friendly person, and sometimes acts like Usagi, in fact she and Usagi are the most alike. Minako is an athlete, her favorite sport being volleyball. Minako is under the guidance of her cat Artemis.

As Sailor Venus, she would be second in charge after Sailor Moon. She uses offensive attacks. She isn't quick to think, like Mercury, and she isn't quick to take action, like Sailor Jupiter. She is more toward the middle. Artemis guides her and the other senshi in battle when they need it. Her attacks are based on love, like the Roman goddess of love is Venus.

Sailor Venus's fuku is an orange skirt, choker, collar with a white stripe, a blue bow in the front with an orange button and a light orange bow in the back. When she becomes Super Sailor Venus, her button becomes a heart, her sleeves have a transparent cap, and the bow on the back becomes longer, and there is a star on her choker. She wears orange heels with orange ankle straps and gloves reaching her elbows with an orange trim. Her tiara has an orange jewel in it.
